The Italian artist Marco Angelini explores the relationship between light and matter in abstract works that draw on ancient and medieval thinkers as well as quantum theory and relativity. Using acrylic, thread, gold and silver leaf, copper plates and even photovoltaic cells, he treats light as an active force that shapes the work, and as a symbol of knowledge and ecological awareness.
